Chroma Mediation

About us.

With a unique blend of legal practice, executive leadership, and cross-cultural experience, Julien Vergely draws on years of conflict resolution expertise, grounded in empathy, collaboration, and a strong commitment to impartiality and neutrality.

Certified by the San Francisco Bar Association, Julien specializes in resolving business disputes, workplace conflicts, and guiding change management processes. His dual citizenship (US & France) and bicultural background give him an edge in bridging cultural divides and fostering understanding in high-stakes scenarios.

His introduction to mediation came early in his career when, as a young attorney, he was selected by his Bar Association to observe the UN International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. Seeing firsthand the limits of legal verdicts in addressing deep-seated ethnic tensions, he recognized the need for reconciliation and understanding beyond the courtroom. This experience sparked his commitment to using conflict resolution as a means to bridge divides and encourage meaningful dialogue.

As COO at a global innovation accelerator, Julien honed his skills in diplomacy, leading international projects and developing workplace models that prioritized open dialogue and human-centered design. His work on the “Future of Work” for the Swiss government focused on creating collaborative environments adapted to the evolving needs of the modern workforce.

Julien views conflict as an opportunity for innovation. His practice focuses on helping small businesses and startups navigate the unique challenges of early-stage growth, including disputes between co-founders, equity conflicts, investor disagreements, and team dynamics. By facilitating constructive dialogue, he empowers organizations to transform disputes into opportunities for stronger collaboration, resilience, and sustainable growth.
